Campaign to Exempt Charities from IPT
We ran a campaign to get the government to exempt charities from having to pay Insurance Premium Tax.
Following the significant increases in the rate of IPT since October 2015 we felt that enough was enough and we should campaign to reduce the fundraising burden on charities just to pay a tax. The campaign was supported by many in the insurance industry, the third sector and by members of the public.
As a result of the campaign questions were answered in Parliament by the Financial Secretary to the Treasury.

The petition was brought to an early close when a General Election was announced.
